General Rules

Pupils with proper uniform must reach the school premises at least 10 minutes before the bell rings.
To acquire proficiency in English, English and only English is permissible within the school premises.
The reason for leave of absence must be entered by the guardians in the leave of absence diary. Leave of absence for more than three days should be applied for separately to the Principal through the Class Teacher.

A pupil who has been absent from class for more than three days may attend class only after leave of absence has been granted by the Principal in the absence record. No late comer shall be allowed to attend the school on any pretext.

Pupils must rejoin classes after the holidays on reopening days.

Any communication (request or complaint) made by the parents should be addressed to the Principal.

During break time, pupils shall not be allowed to go out of the school premises.

Pupils who do not have at least 75% attendance may not be allowed to appear in the examination.

Students are advised to use their home address for all mails directed to them. The Principal reserves the right to open the mail of pupils who use the school address. Letters addressed to pupils with the school address may not be delivered.

A student is liable to be removed from the class register or otherwise dealt with by the school authority for irregular attendance, habitual negligence in studies, disobedience, or any conduct detrimental to the interest of the school. If parents or legal guardians fail to withdraw their ward within a week after receiving written notice, the student’s name will be struck off from the class register without further reference.

Any damage done to school building or furniture by the student shall be made good by the parents or legal guardians of the pupil concerned. The Principal’s decision regarding compensation shall be final.

Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books, umbrellas, raincoats, etc. The school takes no responsibility for loss of these items.

Smoking and the use of tobacco in any form are strictly forbidden. Offenders will be punished and expelled from the school.

Any undemocratic attitude or agitation towards the school is not permissible.

Parents and guardians are not allowed to see their children or meet teachers during school hours without prior permission from the Principal.

No student will be allowed to deposit tuition fees during class hours.

No student will be granted leave after certain periods. In case of emergency, the school will notify the guardian.

Guardians may meet the Principal between 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. from Monday to Friday on working days. No guardian will be entertained before or after the fixed time.

Pupils suffering from contagious or infectious diseases shall not be permitted to attend school.

No student will be allowed to enter the school complex with a cell phone.

Admission & Withdrawal

New admission is open to all at the K.G.-I level. Registration of the names of wards must be completed within the dates notified by the school authority using the prescribed forms. Admission to other classes up to Class IX depends on the availability of seats as notified by the authority. Selection for admission is made on the basis of admission tests and merit. For new admissions, production of a birth certificate from the appropriate authority is compulsory.

A pupil having a valid transfer certificate from a recognized school may be admitted on the basis of an admission test, subject to the availability of seats. Registration of the name of the intending candidate with the school office in the prescribed form is mandatory. Parades held on special occasions such as Independence Day and Republic Day are considered an integral part of co-curricular activities.

Pupils found to have obtained admission through false representation will be struck off from the school, and the matter will be reported to the Inspector of Schools for appropriate action. Applications for a Transfer Certificate may be made only by parents or legal guardians and must be submitted at least 30 days in advance.

No pupil whose fees are in arrears upto a term will be given a transfer certificate. T.C. required after the new session starts will be issued only on payment of full tuition fees for the academic year. No pupil who fails in two consecutive years in the same class shall be allowed to continue his studies in the school. A pupil who has left the school will not normally be readmitted.

ADMISSION TEST

a) Admission in Nursery as per norms. b) Admission in K.G.-I is based on oral test only. c) Admission in K.G.-II to Class IX will be on the basis of both written and oral test subject to availability of seats.

EXAMINATION

Besides the Unit Tests, there are two examinations in the year, Half-Yearly and Annual Examination. The Unit test/monthly Unit Test, Half-Yearly and Annual Exam will be taken into account towards promotions to the next higher class. Hence the pupils are advised to take them seriously.

Absence from an examination on medical ground should be intimated to the Headmaster immediately during the examination supported by valid Medical Certificate.

Anyone adopting unfair means in examination will be put under necessary penalisation as the school authority may deem fit. The decision of the school authority is final.

Promotion to the next higher class depends on the overall performance of the students during the whole year. From weightage to the extent of 20% of Unit test, 30% of Half-Yearly Examination and 50% of Annual Examination has been given towards promotion.

Progress Report should be collected and signed by the parents/legal guardian. Report Book should be returned within a week of its issue. The result declared at the end of the year is final and not reconsidered. Answer papers of the final examination are not shown.

Co-curricular activities must be attended. This will be considered a regular subject which will have reflection in promotion.

Parents/Local Guardian

Special attention is given to ensure a high standard of morality and discipline. Guardians are requested to co-operate with the efforts of the school authorities.
By ensuring that their wards are punctual and regular in attendance.
By ensuring that ward’s clothes and person are neat and clean.

Attendance & Leave

A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for promotion to the next class.

Leave applications must be submitted in advance via the parent portal.
Medical leave for more than 3 days requires a valid doctor's certificate.

Discipline Policy

Zero Tolerance Policy:

Bullying, physical violence, or use of foul language will result in immediate suspension.
Electronic gadgets (phones, tablets) are strictly prohibited unless requested by a teacher.

Transport Rules

School bus service is an optional facility. Parents or guardians are free to choose this facility or not at the time of admission or at the renewal time.
Admission to the school does not mean an automatic permission to avail the school bus service. It has to be independently applied for at the time of fresh admission or at the renewal time in the prescribed form. Only students formally admitted to the school are eligible for availing the bus service. The school bus is meant only for the school children. Parents or guardians shall not board the bus so as not to cause inconvenience to the students.
To start the bus service, students need to fill a registration form with a fee of Rs. 100/-.

To discontinue the bus service, students are required to submit an application with a charge of Rs. 150/-.

Twelve months bus fare is applicable.

If any student is found without registration for bus service, he or she will be fined Rs. 1000/-.

Parents or guardians are not allowed in the bus.

The school bus service is facilitated by the school for the convenience of students and their parents. It is an optional facility and the cost involved in running this service should be borne entirely by those availing the service.

The buses shall not stop other than the points specified in the bus application form.

Pupils whose dues or school bus fare are not cleared completely will be barred from sitting for examinations.

For all information, complaints of disciplinary nature or minor discomforts related to the bus, parents or guardians may contact the Principal or the school office.

Parents should bring their children on time at the specified bus points only for boarding the school bus and should also be present on time to receive them.

Parents or guardians must ensure that under no circumstances the school bus is boarded by their ward suffering from contagious or infectious diseases.

The school bus is available on the routes mentioned on the Bus Route Notice Board. If a route is not viable financially or due to non-availability of buses or parking, the service of that route may be discontinued with a notice of one month. No change of route will be made unless a decision is taken by the school authorities.

The school will not be responsible for students travelling by their own transport.

Unruly behaviour like moving about, shrieking, shouting, or standing near the gate is not acceptable and may lead to suspension from availing the school bus.

In case of emergency, parents are requested to get in touch with the school authorities immediately.
